Now is the time to start thinking about your digital marketing strategy. During the 2018 holiday season, eMarketer forecasts for all retail sales (online and in-store) growth of 3.8% in 2018, to $691.9 billion.
Q4 is the time to set goals and crush them! Here are a 12 tips to boost your holiday sales this year:
12 Tips to Boost Holidays Sales with Digital Marketing
- Launch exclusive holiday sales
- Provide holiday themed content on your blog (Ex: advice on gift ideas and include your product or service)
- Integrate customer reviews into your website. Shoppers are more likely to buy items that have been reviewed online.
- Retarget website visitors on Facebook who went to your site or added items to their cart.
- Make sure your SSL certificate is displayed, as a lot of holidays shoppers are shopping online for the first time and they are more likely to be apprehensive of revealing their payment information online
- Boost your email list by actively building it during the pre-holiday season. Once the holidays are over, re-engage your shoppers by emailing them a new year’s greeting, and stay in touch with them over the course of the year by offering promotions and discounts.
- Search for bloggers and online magazines relevant to your audience and see if you can get into their gift guides.
- Feeling in a giving mood? Consider adding a charity campaign, where a percentage of sales go to a local charity of your choice (or your customers choice).
- Encourage shoppers to shop more by offering promotions on larger purchases. For example, if they spend $100, they get a $10 gift card.
- Reward your fans for following you throughout the year by offering discounts and promotions directly to them
- Spice up your social media accounts for the holidays by changing profile images and backgrounds to a holiday theme.
- Connect with an Instagram influencer with a large audience to help market your product
- Share behind the scenes photos (of your company getting ready for a holiday party, a big sale you’re prepping for, putting up decorations, getting into the spirit!)
